A few stats to consider for Coventry Hills before you make the decision to move here: Coventry is located in the Northwest Quadrant of Calgary and is sandwiched between Stoney Trail to the North, Country Hills Boulevard to the South, Deerfoot Trail and Harvest Hills Boulevard to the East and West respectively. Coventry Hills is the second largest community, second only to Panorama Hills, in the Northern Hills with approximately 15,700 residents. Of the six Northern Hills Communities, Coventry Hills is one of the last ones that are still being developed because of its overall land size in comparison to the other communities such as Harvest Hills or Country Hills. They are now in the final phases of development of single family homes and multifamily units with most single family homes starting in the low $300s and going as high as the $500s and condos(Townhouses and Apartment style) starting in the low $200s.

Country Hills was established the same year as Harvest Hills, 1990, and is the next door neighbourhood to the West. Country Hills is one of the smallest communities in the Northern Hills and is nestled nicely between Harvest Hills Boulevard to the East and Beddington Boulevard to the West. Country Hills separates the community from Panorama Hills to the North and its Southern border line is also Harvest Hills Boulevard as it winds down to the West.

The entire Northern Hills was designed to be incredibly family friendly and Country Hills is no exception! Again, miles of walking paths, playgrounds, access to schools and of course the close proximity to Cardel Place. Convenience is what the Northern Hills is all about! Within Country Hills, there are a couple of banks, coffee shops, dental clinic, spa, hairdressers...you name it, it is there.

Country Hills Estates is by far the smallest of the Northern Hills communities, it is sandwiched between Beddington Trail and the Links side of the Country Hills Golf Course. There is one way in and one way out, and that is off of Beddington Trail, if you have ever travelled North on Beddington and saw that nice little neighbourhood tucked away to the east, that is Country Hills Estates.

With Country Hills Estates, there is no way around it; you are driving pretty much everywhere. Having said that however, like it was mentioned earlier, The Estates is located nice and close to one of the major thoroughfares in the Northern Hills, Beddington Trail. Beddington will take you straight North to the Creekside shopping complex which includes some big box stores like Rona and some nice coffee shops like the Good Earth Cafe. Or you can detour to Country Hills Boulevard and head East where you will find all the shopping, entertainment and restaurants that your heart desires.

Havrvest Hills View homes for sale in the Harvest Hills area

Harvest Hills is a gorgeous neighbourhood in the NE area of the Northern Hills, truly a beautiful community with the only lake in the Northern Hills and one of two golf courses. This course unlike the Country Hills Golf Club is a public course and although it is only 9 holes, it is a “Full” nine holes and for this duffer incredibly challenging.

Harvest Hills is on the south side of Country Hills boulevard across from Coventry Hills lending itself to very convenient access to the Calgary International Airport, The Harvest Hills golf Center and of course Deerfoot Trail. Like all communities in the Northern Hills access to the overwhelming amount amenities is fantastic, leaving the ‘hood doesn’t need to be an option. However if you feel like you need to get out of the Northern Hills and head downtown or to other areas of the NW to do your shopping like Market Mall or Cross Iron Mills, Country Hills Boulevard and Deerfoot Trail will be your two choices of thoroughfares, luckily they are really easy to get to.

Panorama Hills View homes for sale in the Panorama Hills area

Panorama Hills construction began in 1997 and is now the largest neighbourhood in the Northern Hills with approximately 17,000 residents. Panorama, like all of the Northern Hills has some great amenities which I will get to later, but it also has a couple of thing s that sets it apart from the rest of the Northern Hills. I would venture to guess that a majority of the residents do not even know that there is the John A. Lewis Rock Quarry within our borders as well as the Reverend George Macdougall Commemorative Cairn memorial site. 

Panorama Hills is the first e-Community in Calgary; the homes have been designed with the latest in home wiring. This will allow home owners to program their "smart" devices through the eBox to include multiple rooms within the home and to use GenStar's neighborNet, which was designed to connect residents with each other.

Panorama Hills Estates is a community within a community as it has its own Homeowners Association and their own fee system. The Estates boundaries within Panorama Hills begin on the north side of Country Hills Boulevard and head west from Panorama Hills Boulevard on the south side of 112 Avenue. One other section of the Estates includes Panamount Green which is a beautiful crescent that backs onto Nose Creek ravine.

A very large part of the Estates follows Country Hills Golf Course with a number of homes that back directly onto the course itself. The Estates is a beautiful community, again a part of the Genstar vision, where eventually one day everyone in the Northern Hills will be connected digitally right from their home.
